Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $91,000.00/yr

This position within the IT Operations team will serve primarily to curate, refine, maintain, and improve workstation standards and related systems for Tesla’s global endpoint fleet. The primary task of this position will be to architect and troubleshoot all endpoint related systems and software, while also assisting with the day-to-day operations for Tesla’s global IT infrastructure to provide for the growth of Tesla’s initiatives. These duties will be performed in compliance with policy guidelines and within timeframes as defined in the team’s SLAs and/or project requirements.

  • Engineer, test, deploy and manage client images and provisioning for MacOS and Windows devices.
  • Manage, maintain, and evolve enterprise client management systems Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Endpoint Manager (Intune).
  • Test and validate new hardware.
  • Manage IT provided business and user systems (AV, Backup).
  • Serve as ultimate escalation point for technical support teams.
  • Develop and assess innovative solutions for business driven projects and initiatives.
  • As necessary, perform other duties as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Six plus years experience in client endpoint support
  • Knowledge of Windows client environments, including both hardware and software, at an advanced or expert level
  • Experience with remote support
  • Experience with Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365 and Windows server environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Endpoint Manager (Intune) and modern management concepts (Microsoft AutoPilot and Enrollment)
  • Proficient in one or more modern, general purpose scripting languages (ex: PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons in the course of performing assigned duties, including management and outside business associates
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow up
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and employ discretion
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines\standards
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes and deadlines
