Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a passionate, world-class leader to manage the Ads Supply & Monetization core product management team focused on ad supply growth by launching new ad placements, ad formats, data products, and improving measurement and ad relevancy. This leader will represent the team in forums spanning both Amazon Advertising and Retail while influencing these partners to align toward common objectives. They will also own and deliver on critical SVP and S-Team level goals, insisting on high standards from their product managers and engineering teams to deliver results.

  • Own successful delivery of large, high impact and highly cross-functional product development initiatives while simultaneously and accurately delivering a set of smaller projects
  • Drive strategic and technical alignment with partner teams spanning multiple lines of business, including relevant Amazon retail stakeholders
  • Deliver short- and long-term goals spanning multiple key programs under your product leadership
  • Maintain strong business & technical vision for your teams and consistently push teams to deliver with the highest standards.
  • Lead and influence across different organizations and align diverse teams to a common goal
A day in the life

As Senior Manager of Product Management - Technical, you will lead a team of product and program managers to drive the product vision and roadmap for Ads Supply & Monetization. You will have experience managing product development teams, leading complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearheading the definition of new capabilities through product and technical design documents. You will have a high level of comfort with ambiguity, a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges, and can effectively influence across organizations. You work backwards from the customer, dive deep into data to understand the issues, and drive product development to deliver collaboratively with your teams and partners.

About The Team

The Advertising Supply & Monetization team determines the display ads shown to Amazon shoppers, and is responsible for delivering an engaging, relevant and personalized ad experience. We optimize entire pages of retail and advertising content in near real-time for millions of shoppers each day, maximizing the long-term value that display advertising creates for Amazon.


Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
  • 6+ years of experience managing teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of product management experience in digital advertising
  • MBA degree
  • Experience in online advertising, user experience, web-based technologies.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas
  • Passionate about generating big, creative ideas to differentiate in the market, growing the business and working with advertisers and partners to build innovative products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to senior executive audiences.
  • Handle multiple contending priorities in an energizing environment.
