 Job Description

We are looking for a team player to work in a fast-paced environment with an interest in color and fabric. The Product Development Coordinator will help to facilitate the entire color approval process for the color division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist in reviewing color (lab dips/strike-offs/bulk threads/wash down ranges/etc.), ordering sample yardage, keeping track of all lab dip/print approvals, maintain PLM, following up with mills/vendors, etc. Color should be your passion!

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in reviewing color for approval and communicate color comments to mills/production team.
  • Order and track all sample yardage for buyer meetings.
  • Order and track all lab dips/strike-offs for bulk production.
  • Communicate with mills throughout the color development process and throughout bulk production.
  • Keep detailed records of comments, approvals, and status in PLM.
  • Provide daily status updates of sample yardage and lab dips/strike-offs during morning WIP meetings with the team.
  • Maintain color standard library.
  • General organizational responsibilities include record keeping, filing, and maintenance of storage areas.
  • Assist with DataColor as needed.
  • Assist with other duties within the Color Team as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Product Development major preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years relevant work experience in textiles/product development/color analysis.
  • Understanding of textiles and product development preferred.
  • Knowledge of color theory, color matching, and printing techniques.
  • Experience with communicating with overseas mills/suppliers.
  • Proficient in Illustrator, Excel & Word. PLM is a plus.
  • Must pay close attention to detail.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Must have the capability to perform all duties from home in the interim.
  • Must have the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

This is not a Design role. This is a Product Development only.
