Job Summary:

The Media Planner works directly with National Account Managers, Account Executives and Sales Leaders across the U.S. to grow revenue by building and implementing media plans and tracking the performance of these campaigns that run across iHeartMedia’s radio stations, Programmatic platform and Total Traffic and Weather Network.

  • Strategizing with Sales colleagues to achieve negotiated client goals by creating customized National Unwired-Network Radio, Programmatic and multi-market media proposals
  • Pulling and analyzing ratings and pricing data and building out media schedules
  • Inputting proposal details into submission recap charts and summarizing the key sales points of each proposal to iHM sales team members
  • Formatting and communicating the details of the approved schedules and inputting/booking the Orders and any Order Revisions
  • Communicating with radio station personnel or Revenue Management about Order clearance, discrepancies and makegoods
  • Tracking and ensuring media deliveries, creating recap reports and executing campaign posts
  • Communicating with iHM Billing teams to approve invoice amounts based on posted media campaign
  • Keeping assigned account files organized and updated

  • 1-3 years of work experience in the media industry
  • Must have strong math skills and be comfortable analyzing data (experience with Media Math and terminology preferred)
  • Must be proficient in Excel and have strong PC/Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to communicate comfortably in a professional setting including in group meetings and via phone/email with team members across the country
  • Must work well with others and be team-oriented in nature
